Our SmartFire is brilliant. Friends who used to leave religiously 30 minutes after dinner wont leave now as long as we keep putting logs on the fire. There’s never any smoke only clean heat and conversation. When we’re ready for bed we stop putting logs on. Beautifully managed hospitality.

I saw the first SmartFire being tested in the yard of the Fireplace & Co. and fell instantly in love with its style and performance. For 12 months I drove home from work past their yard, and for 12 months every night Pete and Ant were out testing it. Every second night I called in to see when I could buy mine. Beer, wine and all manner of bribes I dropped off for 12 months. Still they made me wait until they said it was perfect. Worth every day.

I have one of the Firepace & Co.’s pre-cast open fires in my guest house at Smoko in Victoria.  It is simply magnificent. Our life revolves around it when we visit. The instant I knew they were making a portable one I ordered it for our yard in Sth. Melbourne. Its efficiency and heat output is staggering with little wood.

We love our SmartFire for playing cards around and enjoying pizza nights with friends. Before we got it we used to roster nights at everyone else’s place. These days it’s always our place and they bring the wood.
